A month ago, in early October, a few excited gamers decided to make a new campaign setting using the roleplaying system known as Ars Magica. This was an entirely new system (to them at least), but from their creative minds a new world was born… the Shattered Realm.
This campaign is very much an experiment, born from the ashes of 4e, which did not suit us at all.
It was created by combining various ideas from the participants, making the world a place where magi, warriors and stableboys could live and dream. Each of us have added to the world, and we hope that you, visitor, might add something to it as well.

About Ars Magica
This system is actually designed to be played in a Mythic Europe setting, but with a few tweaks, it can be used with almost any setting. The thing about Ars Magica is, that its all about the magic in the world. The system allows you to cast just about any spell that you can think up, but there is formulaic magic as well.
The game is centered around the magi and the covenant where they live, but in fact, the players should have at least a few characters; magi, companions and grogs (which is, basically, the covenfolk that live at the covenant and serve the magi).
For more information on Ars Magica, see Atlas Games website.
Who Created this Setting?
This campaign setting was created by Jesper Brandt, Peter Jacobsen and K. Axel Carlsson, the three excited gamers who just wanted to explore this amazing new world, and system!
I'm currently acting as the Storyguide (Axel), but have created a magus with the hope that one of the others will take over the Storyguide role at some point.
If you wanna read what happens in our covenant; check out the journal!
